Philanthropy

Gamma Phi Betas national philanthropy is Girls on the Run. We focus on building stronger girls through empowering and teaching girls life-enriching skills.

Gamma Phi Beta's philanthropic focus doesn't just address an existing challenge - we are building strong girls to proactively provide opportunities for long-term success by inspiring the leaders of tomorrow.

Our fall philanthropy event is  "Gamma Fry Beta". This event included late night fried food from local restaurants in Bloomington! This event raised a total of $7500 this fall 2018 which all went to Girls on the Run.

Recruitment

Joining a sorority is an amazing way to get involved, make life long friends and memories. You will not only become a member of a fantastic chapter but you will become part of the large Greek Community here at IU, which contains 22 sorority chapters, 32 fraternity chapters. Gamma Phi Beta’s core values are learning, love, labor and loyalty and we encourage every member to value these morals in their daily lives. By upholding these values each member is able to grow and become positive contributors to society and the local community.
